42 donors for Jonathan's 42nd

d&pdc has embarked on an ambitious 3 year plan...

Like last year, this year, my birthday fundraising drive benefits dog & pony dc, the devising ensemble behind two of the most engaging pieces of theatre performed this year in DC... critically acclaimed BEERTOWN (honored by Washington Post theater critic Peter Marks as one of his top 10 for 2012) and the award winning A KILLING GAME.

In this next year, they are taking BEERTOWN off-broadway to New York's 59E59 and A KILLING GAME to the Cleveland Playhouse. They will also be premiering their newest production, TOAST, which workshops this month at Arena Stage and CHAW.

But all this activity has created a wonderful dilemma: d&pdc has outgrown its internal structures and the company needs to grow in order to fully support the ever increasing, on-going, diverse body of work of creating, performing, touring and training. To solve this dilemma, d&pdc launched a 3-year campaign to raise funds, specifically designated to provide their artists with the support and resources necessary to continue sharing their art with the community.

This year's birthday ask is for a three year recurring donation in support of this campaign. You certainly don't have to check the box for annual donations, but if you do, I'll be even more grateful, you'll do more to help this great theatre company, and I won't harass you next year or the year after!

So... will you join me as one of my 42 donors for my 42nd birthday? A birthday shared, I might add, with d&pdc Ring Leader Rachel Grossman. Do it for one or both of us.

Please note that the recurring box is most likely already checked. Please uncheck it if you only want to make a one-time donation.
